Locating Shift Error Rules

You can find your Shift Error Rules by going into Settings>Shift Error Rules

Setting the level of restriction for each rule

The Shift Error Rules you can utilize are as seen below. Each has an option to either Allow, Flag, or Block.

Flag

If you choose to Flag something an Error will pop up on the created shift to let you know one or more of your error rules was triggered. Then you can choose whether to assign this shift to someone else, or continue scheduling anyway.

*If you choose to assign it anyway, but do not toggle to Ignore Shift Error Rules this error will remain on that shift on the schedule and will look like this, to show there is an error.

Block

If you choose to Block something an Error will pop up during the creation of the shift to let you know one or more of your error rules was triggered. Then you can choose whether you want to assign the shift to someone else, or if you want to choose to Ignore Shift Error Rules and schedule that team member anyway.

Allow

If you choose to Allow one or more error rules, you are just saying that you do not mind if these instances happened. You will therefore not receive any errors on your shifts in relation to these rules.
