How to clock in via the kiosk or the mobile app, and start and end a break?

Depending on your organization's preferences, you may use the kiosk to clock in, the ZoomShift mobile app, or both. Below we will break down how to do that.

Clocking in using the kiosk

The Kiosk Time Clock is a time clock method that is set up at your workstation and will be used to clock in and clock out for your shifts—when using a kiosk you will be brought to a screen similar to this:

You will need to use your email or your Time Clock Pin to clock in and out. This will be based on your employer's settings and your manager will confirm which method you'll use. Once you have entered your email or the Time Clock Pin, you will be prompted to choose the shift for which you want to clock in:

  1. Click the drop-down in Associated Shift to select a shift
  2. Enter a note for the shift (optional)
  3. Click Clock In

As soon as you click the clock in button, the Timesheet will begin. When you're ready to clock out, simply head back to the kiosk page and use your email or Time Clock Pin to clock out.

Clocking in using the ZoomShift Mobile App

You will find the mobile app time clock on your phone by opening the ZoomShift app and it will be on your Home Screen. Simply tap the Clock In/Out button to clock into a shift, or out of a shift.

Starting or Stopping a break

If your employer allows breaks, you can click the Clock In/Out button on the time clock, while currently clocked in, and choose the option to Start Break or Stop Break. In the ZoomShift app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Clock In/Out button
  2. Tap Start Break
  3. When your break is done tap the Clock in/Out button
  4. Click Stop Break
